SOMA Neuromuscular Integration® Therapy
A whole body rebalancing therapy that starts with a unique Holographic Body Reading tool that allows me to tailor the session to your needs. The process is slow and measured. The aim is to realign the skeletal, muscle and nervous system so that your posture is straight and pain is gone. It is a complete discipline of healthcare that includes self-analysis, mindfulness and self-care.
Synergy Touch® Structural Integrative Bodywork & Reiki
Your body has an opinion and a lot of ways to make that opinion felt. Maybe it’s trying to tell you to how it feels about a new job, or a house move. By chatting with you and placing my hands on your body, I work out what your body is feeling. Then we rebalance it with a variety of techniques and treatments, it’s easy, and often fun.
Scar Tissue Release & Mobilising.
A well healed scar is flat and white, so if your scar remains red beyond 18-24 months, has thickened, raised tissue, or dips and pulls on movement, then scar tissue release and mobilising may help. I have a huge number of techniques to make scar tissue more comfortable and functional and to allow healing and repairing.
“Cherie is an incredibly intuitive therapist; she understands the complexities of body & mind so well that I always come out of her session not only feeling restored physically but also mentally. She is truly gifted, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
Some Of My Areas Of Interest
I love working with scar tissue, whether it is for people or horses, it is just such completely rewarding work to do. Horses and their scars resolve quicker than people, as they are not emotionally invested in them.
I also love working with phantom limb or other nerve pain, and thanks to Neural Orthopaedic Institute’s seminal course on Mobilising the Nervous System I have some excellent tools, alongside neurofascial techniques and craniosacral therapy – I was trained in Hugh Milne’s beautiful craniosacral therapy, it’s the one I use for working with horses, but all our initial training is on people. It embraces The Windows To the Sky from the Book of the Yellow Emperor – 2697 bce, which really set this CST apart.
I like working with complicated or complex issues and post cancer care.
I have been fortunate enough to work with many people who have terminal illnesses, it is a gift to honour their past and their future. And I welcome people who wish to include working with their body work in their transformation.
