Bodywork addresses specific issues such as posture, flexibility, chronic and acute pain, neuromuscular and fascial issues, scar tissue, adhesions, tethering and trigger points. Bodywork increases both ease and range of movement. is generally done with only enough glide medium to facilitate release over bony areas or if the client prefers, they can remain dressed and treatment is done through clothing.
*Some conditions mean that only a specially qualified therapist or a therapist working under medical supervision can carry out treatments.
I specialise in clinical, medical, & Neuromuscular Bodywork & Neuromuscular massage (They are not the same thing) Trigger Point (MFR) & Craniosacral. My focus is medical based, rather than for relaxation.
Most massage is for relaxation, or addressing specific muscular or soft tissue conditions, such as manual lymph drainage. It is useful for softening knots and relieving and invigorating tired and sore muscles and uses lotions or oils liberally, such Swedish or Aromatherapy.
